Last day in town and all I could wish for was a typical afternoon storm and some brilliant colour! Check this!

A Slice of Home
Since I am going to be moving to France in under two weeks, I thought it was timely to take a few pictures of why I love being home too.
When you have no models, sometimes you have to do all the jobs yourself!

Nocturnal Sunshine
So very aware am I that it has been while between posts I thought I would return with something worthwhile. Sometimes artistic photography can be a lonely pursuit, but when you spend a few hours in the total darkness under the stars it serves as a welcome reminder the significance of peace and slowing down occasionally and how frivolous it is to waste so much time on 'modern excess'.
This photo was the result of my first successful star trail, an art form that is quite hard to compose in near pitch black. But patience pays off!
The following few photos are from Southbank in Brisbane, it's good to see you can find little gems so close!
Since it has been a while between posts I am throwing up a few bonus photos too.
This first one some of you may have seen on my instagram (@dwishaw) and is of my nephew being a miniature Buda.
And this bonus photo is was a crazy hard shot to get, seeing me hobbled in a cave avoiding exploding waves. But totally worth it!

Emma & Sam Tie the Knot!!!
Had a brilliant time last weekend photographing the wedding of my old friend Sam Angus and his beautiful new wife Emma! It was another stunning weekend on the Sunshine Coast, perfect weather for getting married in and I got to enjoy the day running around with Kim documenting these two awesome people committing to each other. I must say I loved every minute of working with these two as they were organised, low stress and we managed to have a lot of laughs! Congrats!!!

Sydney gets my vote!
So in case a few people were unaware I like Sydney alot! Why? Because it is so damn photogenic! with huge cliffs and rocky outcrops, antique rock pools, sand beaches cool architecture there are heaps of things to photograph there! On my latest trip there I was spending time relaxing on the northern beaches, went sailing and visited the zoo over four days. Was exceptional and managed to share it with some excellent company! Have a glance below at some of the photos collected over the 4 days! which one is your favourite?
Sunrise from a secret spot my friend Jack showed me (hint: it faces east)
Just a casual morning handstand:
An evening rock pool:
My friend Steve just got back from shooting a resort in Fiji but still managed to get him out for a morning before we left! Check out some of his photos from the job at stevengovel.com

Solace in the Madness
This weekend I had a bit of a family gathering to celebrate the christening of my second nephew's (my brother Ben's second son) christening. As fortune would have it mother nature wanted to come and play as well, bring 120 km/h winds, heavy rain and flooding. Even the church wasn't safe, we lost power and a gutter at one point and as you can imagine without lighting a church is a very dark place to take pictures! However I salvaged this one below, hope you enjoy!
