Jackson's Christening

This weekend my almost 5 month old nephew, Jackson, got christened by the same priest as who married my brother (Ben) and his now wife (Melissa) some 18months ago.  The event was quite good and the love for the youngest member of my family was flowing! Melissa's Mum had this awesome cake made too;

Mum spending some time with the little guy, I love the contrast between their two types of eyes, Jackson has these infinitely deep black eyes and Mum has the only coloured eyes in the family;

Self Portraiture: Round 1

When there is no willing victims, why not use yourself in some photographic experimentation?

In My Town

As I can start to feel the remainder of winter lifting early this year I thought I would get out in the crisp air and take some night shots of the city, the question is how do you take a different picture from five other groups of people pointing their camera in the same direction? So instead of taking a picture from the cliff tops I got down close to the water of the river and captured the City Cat cruising towards the city, then I turned around to find this tree;

I think I'm turning Japanese?

Today I realised that it has been almost a month since I posted an entry or tackled a project, so I closed the door to my room and took a photo of the most interesting thing in my room. This is one of a three piece of a sake set that my Mum (Mom for you clowns in the US of A) bought me back from her trip to Japan. The hand crafted detail is quite minimalistic but is brilliant all the same. hopefully my next post is very soon!

Cindy MkIII

For those of you who know, Cindy is back! For those of you who don't know, my love affair with my bike, which I named Cindy (Cindy the Cervelo, alliteration = clever), has taken a few detours over the year that I have had her. Luckily for me I have had a few good friends to put her back on the road and looking pretty each time. After some cosmetic cracking due to some clear coat issues my friend Riki offered to repaint her (again), and I asked him for gold decals for something different. Little did I know how hard the gold was going to be to work with! But a massive thanks to Rik, as he has once again shown his skills reach further than the cookie factory. I owe you one mate;

Steph and Ollie get Hitched!

Today I had the brilliant opportunity to give something back to old friend that had helped me out in my more youthful years (details of which have been intentionally omitted). Ollie is a fantastic guy and has recently proposed to his gorgeous fiance, Steph, so i offered to do some shots for the two of them. So the afternoon was spent in and around thier house, climbing trees and testing Ollie's athletic ability. We managed to come away with some great shots from the day and I wish these two all the best for their wedding!

As a side note; having a week with no coffee and then having a double shot right before a shot does nothing for stable hands!
