Working in Bali

Last weekend I had trip to Bali for our work sales conference (which some of you will no doubt question how much work was done), and between avoiding Bintang-ed Aussies and 'special' mushroom dealers I managed to wield my camera about.

The [insert surf brand here] junior pro was on at the same time we were there and there were some kids shredding all weekend!

Ryan and Renee

Last weekend I had the absolute pleasure to be part of Ryan and Renee's wedding up at the amazing Spicers resort in Maleny. I spent the day running around the hill tops taking some awesome photos of this couple and decided that I had to do something special to present it. So I have spent the last week editing and putting together this mini-movie of the day, hope you enjoy the next 2 mins! Show Me A Tree

A while ago I spied this tree out in a paddock of a nearby farm and instantly knew it would make a good subject, so I had a crack at photographing it about a month ago, waited till well after dark and took my gear to go capture it. Except last time there was about 40 cows guarding it. Damn. Finally last night I was able to go there with my friend Kim and nail it!

Swell Painting

Swell sculpture festival is on at the moment at Currumbin and there is a sea of photographers swirling around these art pieces snapping away. My thinking is that you have to pursue a different outcome, so I waited until 10pm one night and snapped these, what do you think?

Alexander the Great!

So some of you may have read the news that I am an uncle again! That's right my big brother Ben and his wife have delivered their second bundle of joy into the world; Alexander Thomas Wishaw. He weighed something and was a certain size when he was born, all I know he was bigger than his brother Jackson (bragging rights?). Anyway, I digress; now that Alex is two weeks old I went and had a visit with him and family at home and took a few snaps;

New Home

So I have moved house yet again! So a few days ago I set out with my camera in hand to take some images of what is around me, with one rule in mind; it has to be within 15 mins of where I live. See the results;

Run with Soul

Had a weekend back on the Sunshine Coast this weekend and managed to catch up with a few old friends which was fantastic. One of which was Mel Vandewater, founder of Soul Runner (soulrunner.com.au), who was running a technique workshop for a small class while she was in town. I ventured along to see what it was all about in the mid-afernoon sun (admittedly not perfect photography timing), and saw a class that was taught through shear force of enthusiasm, it was sensational to see such passion brimming over and the effect it had on everyone around! It was truly infectious, and great to catch up!
